Oak Crest Place Residents
Oppose Subdivision

A homeowner on Oak Crest Place in the Spring Garden section of the township has applied for several variances from the Zoning Board of Adjustment to subdivide his property and add an additional structure. Area residents opposed to the plan have organized, consulted a land-use attorney for counsel and intend to fight the project.

Currently, the subdivision does not fall within current zoning requirements, as the lot is not large enough to accommodate two structures according to the law. Building the project as proposed would require several variances.

The project was originally scheduled to be heard last November; however, the attorney representing the developer, Thomas DiBiasi, requested a postponement. The case will likely be heard at an upcoming Zoning Board meeting.
